I have only been three times so far, but I love it. The trainers know how to push while remaining cognizant of where each individual is in his/her journey to increased fitness. Shirts and pants are already fitting better.
Update: I have now been coming for about 8 weeks, and I have experienced 3 of the trainers, and they each have a great way to motivate and to get the most out of each individual. They inspire, encourage, and still keep a great sense of humor while making a person sweat and work harder than one would likely push himself. As an example of my success with their training, I purchased a new tuxedo in January for a choir with which I sing. It fit fine when I purchased it, but I was glad it had an elastic, expandable waist. At my last concert a week ago, the suspenders that I normally wear to fight the battle of the bulge were being used to actually keep the pants from falling to the ground, since the waist band was no longer touching my body.

In September of 2014 my wife sent me an email from Total Performance regarding a special they were running to attract more clients. She had be on me for a number of years about getting in shape & losing some weight. Initially, I ignored it as I always had before. I had tried different diets before….Weight Watchers, Atkins, etc. I would lose weight on these programs but eventually gain the weight back. A week or so later I saw the email again and decided to act because I was as heavy as I had ever been. Dave Pankow & I sat down for an interview & I committed to a 3 month/3 days per week personal training program. Dave was going to design my workouts & also help me with my diet. In short, my diet consisted of “clean” eating. I had a goal of getting below 200 lbs. This three month commitment was going to be my birthday gift to my wife.
The following Monday (10/06/14) I began my training sessions with Dave. The first thing he had me do was weigh in & take measurements. I weighed in at 233.4 lbs. The first month of workouts were a struggle as I was out of shape…big time! Around Thanksgiving, with Dave’s coaching and encouragement I really began to find my groove. I was steadily losing weight and seeing results. By Christmas I had lost 15 lbs. and was feeling a lot better about myself. After my 3 months were up I had lost 21 lbs. On March 27, 2015 I reached my weight loss goal when I weighed in at 198.4 lbs. Now I was having fun & continued in individual sessions with Dave & he stepped up my program. After a few more months I began taking Dave’s kettle bell class and went to one individual session per week & was down to 185 lbs. by the end of June.
Today I am weighing in at 180 lbs. and am in the best shape of my life. I could not have done it without the help of Dave Pankow coaching & pushing me. Dave is a true pro; he comes prepared for every training session & focuses on his clients particular needs. Dave has a client for life!
Update 12/15/16….still kicking butt at 180 lbs. and feeling great with Dave’s coaching!
I became pretty frustrated last November at the fact that my jeans were getting way too snug! Right about that time I received an email from Fitness Revolution for a two week free trial. They were opening a new facility in Farmington, so I decided to give it a try. I loved it right away.
In December, they had an offer where you could work out as many times as you wanted for $100.00. I decided to give it a try and see if I could make it work with my busy schedule. I could and I did. I could tell I lost some weight and started feeling better. In January I joined, committing to work out two days a week. I weighed in at 1601bs and was shocked I weighed that much. Mid January I did my measurements and got serious.
I lost 20 lbs in 3 ½ months. To date I’ve lost over 1/2” in my arms, 6” in my hips, 2” in my waist and 2” in my thighs. I never thought I’d be able to lose weight. On Sept 1st, I started working out 3 days a week and have lost 4lbs (in 3 wks). I’m determined to lose 5 more pounds and keep it off.
Nick and Frank have been such an awesome inspiration. They’re consistently challenging and pushing me to do more. I love the fact that every work out is different and amazed that months later, I can still have sore muscles after a work out. I feel great!
Putting on my winter jeans is no longer a stressful event. In fact, for the first time in a long time, I’m actually excited about shopping for jeans!
If I can do it, any one can.
I decided to give Fitness Revolution a try after seeing the remarkable results my son achieved working with all the different trainers in the Speed and Agility program at Total Performance. I signed up for a 30 day fitness/nutrition challenge in order to lose 20lbs in 30 days. It took me a bit longer than 30 days to lose my first 20lbs (7 weeks) but I blame that on my 51 year-old metabolism! So far, I have lost 23 lbs. With each workout, I continue to feel leaner and stronger. My goal is to lose another 17lbs, continue to get stronger and keep the weight off long term.
I have nothing but great things to say about the class and the trainers, especially Kara Beth Rogier. She continues to challenge me and at the same time provides individual modifications when necessary to address my specific needs. I’ve never been made to feel intimidated by the trainers or my classmates, even when I first started and couldn’t do a single sit up or complete a set of pushups. It’s all about encouragement, improvement and accountability. I see and feel the results every day and couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend Fitness Revolution and all of the trainers who work there.

The Small Group Training classes offered by Fitness Revolution are absolutely fantastic. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable, and they tailor their classes and individual exercises to meet the needs and abilities of their participants. They provide excellent instruction on form and technique, pay very close attention to each participant, and vary each class to continue challenging everyone. The class sizes are small, so they really get to know each individual, his/her abilities, fitness level, and how to motivate each individual to reach his/her peak athletic potential. I am so glad that I made the move to Fitness Revolution – it is well worth the time, money, and effort!
